Spring is in full swing in Crivitz, WI! Pile your family and friends in a big and comfy Chevy Traverse, Tahoe, or Suburban, and celebrate spring by joining all the exciting spring activities in the area.

1. Spring Picnics and Waterfalls

Spring is a wonderful time to pack a picnic basket and enjoy a scenic picnic at the beautiful waterfalls in and around Crivitz. Head to Veteran’s Memorial Park along the Thunder River at W12170 Parkway Road in Crivitz and enjoy a bite to eat at the scenic picnic area overlooking the falls. You’ll get the best view if you stand on the bridge over the upper waterfall and watch the water cascade into the picturesque pool below.

Goodman Park at N15201 Goodman Park Road in Athelstane, 17 miles away, boasts Strong Falls on the upper Peshtigo River. There are pretty picnic areas at Dave’s Falls on the Pike River in Dave’s Falls County Park on State Road 141 in Amberg, just over 20 miles away. Beautiful McClintock Park on Parkway Road in Silver Cliff, about 28 miles from Crivitz, boasts McClintock Falls, a series of rapids with four bridges over the upper Peshtigo River.

2. Rod, Knife, and Gun Show

If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, make sure not to miss the Crivitz American Legion’s annual Rod, Knife, and Gun Show in mid-March at the Peshtigo River Center at W7842 Airport Road in Crivitz. There will also be delicious food, and the proceeds will support various veteran causes.

3. Spring Craft Vendor Show

Crivitz’s most anticipated spring event is the vibrant and colorful Spring Craft Vendor Show at Crivitz High School at 400 South Street on May 6 between 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Browse more than 60 stalls and meet the area’s artisans, crafters, and bakers.

There will be a bake sale and an array of mouthwatering eats and treats. Please bring non-perishable food with you to donate to the Crivitz Food Pantry. All proceeds from the show go to the scholarship fund and promote community activities.
