The Chevy Silverado 1500 delivers all you want in a full-size pickup truck, with powerful engine options and superb towing capacity. Three different bed sizes provide more cargo space than other pickup trucks, and rear bumper corner cutouts make it easier to step into and out of the bed for loading and unloading.

Depending on how you’ll use it, the Chevy Silverado 1500’s interior can be configured with as little or as much refinement as you’d like. LT models and above get a 10-way power driver seat with plenty of cushioning and power lumbar support. New Features for 2022

For 2022, Chevy has given the Silverado 1500 a number of useful upgrades both inside and out. First, all models have received a redesigned front end with a new front grille and fascia. On LT models and above, you’ll also get new daytime running lamps that come with an animated lighting sequence upon approach or startup. Dark Ash, Sand Dune, and Glacier Blue Metallic are three new available exterior paint color options to choose from.  

LT models and above also get significant interior design upgrades. In addition to new upscale cabin materials, you’ll get an updated instrument panel and a redesigned center console with available electronic shift control. These higher trim levels also now receive a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in addition to a 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen display. For off-road enthusiasts, the rugged new ZR2 model is ready for just about anything.

Engine Options

There are five powerful engine options to choose from. The base model is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that gets 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Then there are two V-8 options: a 5.3-liter version that gets 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.2-liter option that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both of the V-8 options come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

There’s also a 3.0-liter I-6 turbo diesel engine that gets 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Finally, the off-road ZR2 model gets a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
