The transmission works hard to convert engine power into a usable form to enable the wheels to move. The transmission contains a multitude of parts that operate under high-temperature conditions for long periods. These circumstances can lead to wear or damage to transmission components. Strange Noises

A smoothly operating transmission never makes a sound as it shifts your gears. If you start hearing noises, this is a sign that something isn't right. One of the most common signs of trouble is a slight buzzing noise. This sound appears almost like background noise when it begins, but it will gradually become louder. You might also hear a whining noise which also increases in sound and pitch.

Various transmission problems can cause these sounds, including a lack of transmission fluid, a damaged torque converter, or a worn impeller. It's very rare for a Chevy to experience serious brake problems. But without regular servicing and proper care, even the finest of brakes can develop an issue. One thing every driver should know is how to spot and respond to signs of brake trouble.
