Come out for a fun family meal in Crivitz, WI. From pizza and burgers to American comfort food and everything in between, there's something for everyone here. Our top picks for family restaurants will get your dining experience off the ground.

1. Gateway Bar and Grill

Dine here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and enjoy an array of tasty homemade cuisine. For that first meal, we suggest a breakfast platter, like steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, or eggs benedict; an omelet, like the cheddar cheese, mushroom and Swiss, or the Mexican; something from the hot-off-the-griddle, like cinnamon apple pancakes or the strawberry-stuffed French toast, which are popular with the kiddos; or a skillet.

Lunchtime here is always delicious with an array of apps, soups, salads, burgers, and wraps. For the kids, the ultimate grilled cheese or a hamburger will hit the spot. The grown-ups can indulge in the bruschetta to start, followed by a garden veggie wrap, a prime rib sandwich, or an Italian burger. And check out their daily specials for dinner, which range from all-you-can-eat shrimp to chicken wings, ribs, tacos, and pizza. They are at 706 N US Hwy. 141.

2. Figaro's Pizza

Stop here for cheesy, gooey, homemade pizza that is sure to be a hit for the whole clan. Start with the cheese bread sticks or the figgy cinnamon sticks before choosing from the combo, chicken, or vegetable pizza options. We recommend the Mama's favorite, Papa's supreme, or the 12-topping classic. Other good choices include the creamy garlic veggie, the Santa Fe barbecue chicken, and the chicken bacon ranch pies.

Figaro's, located at 901 N US Hwy. 141, is open Saturday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

3. The Checkerboard

Bring everyone together for tasty cuisine in this relaxed atmosphere. The adults can enjoy a cold Wisconsin craft beer from the self-serve tap while the kids sip on a soda or milk. Start off by sampling one of the bruschetta styles, such as the classic tomato and basil with balsamic glaze or the prosciutto, cranberry sauce, and brie. Or order the charcuterie board for the table.

After everyone has enjoyed one of the unique appetizers, move on to a veggie or an English draught sandwich or a kiwi king salad. The young ones can partake in the kids charcuterie cone, a fruit and cheese cup, a grilled cheese, or the pancakes with fruit and cream cheese glaze. Stop here at 735 Dyer St. for a great dining experience. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive.
