2022 Chevrolet Traverse

The Traverse's exterior upgrades include slimmer headlights, a revised grille, and newly designed taillights. You can choose from various attractive exterior paint options, such as Silver Ice Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat, and Black Cherry Tintcoat. Six trim levels are offered: the LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country. You can also opt for a special-edition model, such as the Redline Edition or Midnight Edition.

The LS trim is equipped with power-adjustable and heated side mirrors, deep-tinted glass, LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and active aero shutters. With the LT Cloth trim, you can expect roof-mounted roof rails and fog lights, while the LT Leather trim features a programmable liftgate. The RS trim comes with 20-inch dark-finish aluminum wheels and blacked-out styling accents. A hands-free programmable liftgate and side mirrors with turn-signal indicators are provided with the Premier trim. The High Country adds a panoramic sunroof and trailering equipment.

All Traverse trims benefit from a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and produce 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes standard with a front-wheel-drive system, but you can opt for an available all-wheel-drive system.

In general, the Traverse provides good driving dynamics. The engine provides swift acceleration, the steering is responsive, and the suspension system offers a good balance between ride comfort and composed cornering. The SUV's Driver Mode Selector ensures top performance on various road surfaces. When properly equipped, the Traverse comes with five modes, which are Off-Road, Snow, All-Wheel Drive, Front-Wheel Drive, and Tow/Haul mode.

Passengers receive ample space in the Traverse. Depending on the configuration, the SUV can either accommodate seven or eight people. You also receive a large rear cargo area of 23 cubic feet, which can extend to an impressive maximum space of 98.2 cubic feet.

The standard 7-inch infotainment system is well equipped. Standard features include six speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SiriusXM, and Wi-Fi hot spot capability. Other standard features include active noise cancellation, keyless open and start, and a rear window defogger. In addition, the base trim comes with a premium cloth seat trim, tri-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. The higher trims add various upgrades, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless phone charging, ventilated and heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, and leather upholstery.

The Chevy Safety Assist suite provides standard safety gear across all trims. The suite consists of six driver-assist features, which are forward-collision alert, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, IntelliBeam auto high beam assist, front pedestrian braking, a following distance indicator, and automatic emergency braking. Available systems include adaptive cruise control, rear park assist, and lane change alert with side blind-zone alert.
