2022 Chevrolet Tahoe

The Tahoe offers six trim levels: the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. The base trim is generously equipped with standard features such as power-adjustable and heated side mirrors, black assist steps, and LED headlights and taillights. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof-mounted side rails, and deep-tinted glass also come standard.

The LT trim adds a hands-free power liftgate, while the RST trim comes with 22-inch bright machined wheels and RST badging. Apart from a unique front fascia, the off-road-focused Z71 trim features a front skid plate, all-terrain tires, and red recovery hooks. With the Premier trim, you can expect 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, a dual-outlet exhaust, and a driver-side auto-dimming rearview mirror. The top-of-the-range High Country trim features a distinctive bronze grille and unique 22-inch wheels.

You can choose from three engines with the Tahoe. The base 5.3-liter V-8 engine generates 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, followed by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that provides a more powerful output of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. If it's diesel power you're after, go for the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine. It produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

A standard 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels on all engines, except for the Z71 trim, which is equipped with a standard four-wheel-drive system.

In general, the Tahoe offers a comfortable and balanced ride. Apart from confident steering and good maneuverability, the SUV offers a standard suspension system that smooths out most of the bumps in the road. The Z71 and High Country trims can be equipped with a first-in-class Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive suspension, which allows you to adjust the drive height of the vehicle.

There's no shortage of passenger or cargo space in the Tahoe. Depending on the configuration, spacious and supportive seats are provided for between seven to nine passengers. In addition, the rear cargo area offers 25.5 cubic feet of space, which you can extend to a best-in-class maximum cargo volume of 122.9 cubic feet.

The Tahoe is also fitted with lots of modern tech and features. With the standard 8-inch infotainment system, you receive wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, USB ports, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and six speakers. The base trim is also fitted with a cargo management system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control.

The Tahoe will keep you safe on the road with its comprehensive suite of standard driver-assist features. Standard features include a following distance indicator, front and rear park assist, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning.
